FFHT - November

It was July 2011 and Mom and Dad said they were going on a quick trip to Kentucky. Little did I know that THINGS would NEVER be the SAME when they got home. That was the day they bought the Denny home. When he was arrived he was a bundle of energy, constantly wanting to play and always in mischief. Mom nic named him the 'honey badger' as he was fearless back then. Sadly just after these photos were taken Denny had a severe neurological reaction to a flea/tic treatment and we knew THINGS would NEVER be the SAME again  - he went from being a fearless little honey badger to being scared of everything. Although we often feel sad that Denny lives his life being scared of everything we also just love him and him adore all the more - because he is after all our Denny Boy - even if he is a total Dweeb :) :) :)
What did I do to deserve this?
Really Mom - you couldn't of got me a new tug rope?

  4. Denney, just remember you are a Sheltie, who has a big brother named Reilly to protect you. You are loved just the way that you are ....a wonderful furperson!! We have a brother who recieved a Lepto vacine (even though our Mom said NO LEPTO). Thirty days later he began to siezure. He takes medicine all the time, but he can still have a seizure. He is different from the rest of us, but we all love him. We know that we have to help look out for him too. We are sure that Reilly still takes good care of you, You are a celebrity to us!

  10. It is sad when a pup has a personality changing reaction to something that should help him, but he is still lovable and his peculiarities give you some laughs and blogging fodder!

  13. We like Denny too. Actually we like both Reilly and Denny. We have 2 shelties in our house and they're beauties just like you guys. We've had fleas maybe twice in our 10 years. Apparently the food that you're fed has a lot to do with whether you get fleas or not. Depending on the "kid", we get raw bison, kangaroo or rabbit. Anyways we're sorry that poor Denny had a bad reaction and bad memories.

  16. Crikey ..... how cute is baby Denny? He's still cute now though. How sad that it was a medicine that made him scared. Our Lucy had a reaction to the heartworm injection and like Denny she was NEVER the same afterwards. She took fits and was never as happy as she was before the injection.

  17. Such a cute baby! That is a shame that one event has changed him for life, but no matter what, he is still your brother and I'm glad you two have each other.
