We are joining Bacon and Fozzie for a shopping trip around the world. The items this month are :Popcorn – Now the only popcorn Mom has ever liked is Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs which is an Australian Popcorn but recently she discovered Werther's Caramel popcorn and she says it is awesome - we must admit we have had a few pieces too and love it. Mom buys the small snack packs of Werther's and they cost $1.49, The other good thing - Werther's doesn't have peanuts and Mom likes that as she is not fond of them and always has to pick them out when she eats Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs (don't you just love that name!)
Beer/Wine – We don't drink beer or wine - Dad will once in a blue moon have some REAL Scotch whiskey though.
Chocolates – Another Australian thing - you just can't beat Australian Cadbury's chocolate. Not only is it the best tasting but they have so many more flavors (over 200) and are always adding new ones - when was last time you saw a new chocolate flavor here in the USA?
Ice Cream – Dad is a BIG ice-cream lover - and he will eat just about any flavor but his favorite is butter pecan and that costs $3.99. Mom loves frozen custard and luckily we have a little store here that makes it fresh every day - she gets the small kiddie cup for $1 - just plain with nothing added.
Random Item of your choice.We are going with Pasta - now our Dad lived and worked in Italy for 3 years and loves his real Italian pasta so Mom always get him Barilla which cost $1.79 a box.
Well, my Mum has to confess to slurping a glass of CHOCOLATE port last night, does that count for the chocolate and alcohol?? (We don't eat popcorn)

Oh guys I am soooo with mum about Lollygobbleblissbombs....to die for :) the Werthers sounds pretty darn good though! I did not even do MY list this month..pretty poor form of me :( ..and as for Cadbury..i agree..of course I did spend years working in the factory and eating my weight in wages hahaahaha :) hmmm now I am peckish! thanks for doing a great list loves Fozziemum xx

I love the koala chocolates, what Forrest and Doc send to my crib! And I had no clue that Werthers has popcorn now too... guess what? my mom hangs on the phone to place an order for the popcorn at her pawrents :o) btw: many thanks for the tip with the ambrosia apples, we bought them and they are DELICIOUS!

ReplyDeleteFrozen Custard. That was a treat when SHE was very little in Virginia. Sometimes on summer evenings the family drive would include the Frozen Custard stand....ahhhh!

Sigh...We waited for the Werther's Caramel Corn to come out for months. I finally bought a bag and brought it home only to discover the bag was opened. I had to throw it away. #devastated ☺

You make us feel proud to be Aussie. Mum says it's sacrilege to pick ANYTHING out of the Bliss Bombs - they are THE BEST. It's funny - but they did stop making them for a few years ... and mum found them again and - so embarrassing - she kept doing her "happy food dance" at the thought of buying them. Mum wanted to also boast that she and dad dad had a tour of the Cadbury factory in Hobart. OMG she says - she was in HEAVEN and kept on trying to find a spot to hide in so she could run around the factory at night!! The factory shop was AWESOME too - she bought family size blocks - all sorts of flavours - for 99 cents each - just because the wrapping had faults! She goes extra nuts over the Turkish Delight and saw how they made em'.
