We really don't know what is wrong with Mom - I mean to say we LOVE the cold and would be quite happy if it snowed. Mom says it is something to do with science and that people that live and grow up in hot climates have thinner blood which allows for it to move around the body faster to help keeps them cooler - but in cold climates they lose heat too fast and are always cold. The reverse is said to happen to people who grow up in cold climates.
I must admit we have been spending much more time than normal sitting out on MY deck enjoying this cold blast - Mom worries that I will get cold as my fur isn't as thick as it use to be but trust me - I am very warm under what I do have. Even the Dweeb seems to be enjoying the cooler temps. Stay warm to the two thirds of the country that are being chilled at the moment and to the rest of you - bah humbug :) :)

We are NEVER EVER ready fur winter to do ANYTHINGY.... butt LEAVE and let Spring begin.
ReplyDeleteOMD that Mesmerizing Pic of you two... Gosh WE are even ready to fork over some treats.
Oh our mom is the very same...her blood freezes like a popsicle and the next thing you know she is a frozen statue...it is very painful for her....she has heat in the bed, heat in her mittens heat in her socks...we need to move out of Iowa to the hot country.

my mom hates the cold too and she said the first cold really hurts. I'm sure with a lot of treats you can stay on your deck even when the temperatures are best for polar bears :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking your Mom might enjoy the cold weather better if she too had a nice thick fluffy Sheltie coat.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
We luckily are still clinging onto our Indian Summer so we are not complaining at all. Paws crossed it continues for a while longer. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I am so with you on the not ready for cold. I always freeze, and I am counting the days until we can leave for Arizona. Torrey loves the snow we got though.
ReplyDeleteOur Mama doesn't like the cold either, but we are lucky and it stays a bit warmer here in Northern California...
ReplyDeleteWe hope the winter goes by really quick for your Mama....and maybe your Daddy will take you out to play in the snow??

Wow, it's the same here! I love the snow. It's great for zoomies and pouncing. My peeps seem to hate it too. Well, either way, it's here already. BOL Love that pix and I'll have to try that to get some treats too.

The only reason we like cold is because our itchies go away

We like the winter weathers too, so does mom and dad. It means comfy sweaters, yummy noms and holidays, which mean MORE noms! Enjoy your cold and go snuggle with mom! :)
ReplyDeleteI am just not ready for Winter yet. I wish we could put it on hold until after Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHi fellas, I am with your mom; I generally love the winter, but for some reason this year I am just not ready for the cold. I grew up in no. Ca. and the weather was pretty mild. I had thought that when we lived in cold weather, it was better for your health. We had snow for three days and although it is sunny out, there is snow on the ground and it is still mighty cold-in fact 27 degrees right now.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the cold, but let your mom stay inside where it's warm.

Winter has arrived WAY too soon for us.

It did feel really cold to me today! Had to dig out my winter gear.
ReplyDeleteChewy and Oreo didn't seem to notice :)
SHE grew up with cold, but SHE hates it, too. SHE thinks the low 90s are about right now.....but we LOVE the cold--that's zommies weather!
ReplyDeleteWe been running a lot over here to stay warm...lots of animals to bark at out back....other then that we gots blankies in our pupper house this year!
ReplyDeleteYou guys stay warm, maybe cuddle with Mom for her warmth!
The Mad Scots
Crikey ...... I'm not mentioning our weather to your Mom at the moment. I think I'd get a very big bah humbug if I did, aye?? You two must love winter with those big furry coats.
ReplyDeleteMom is cold already. We had a little snow stick to the top of the car last night. And she is walking around bundled up like an eskimo . Our mom is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteThe Momster hates the cold too - her hands get numb very quickly and then her fingers get all cracks on them. But we love the cold and the snow - maybe s0me tomorrow. Mom was busy trying to gather up all the remaining leaves today before they get all wet and heavy.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.

While all Huskies here love the snow and cold and get pretty excited when they sense it is coming...we do have one who would much rather be a tropical Husky lying on a beach somewhere!
ReplyDeleteOh, and your stares work...here's all my treats...all for you two beauties!
I am trying very hard to learn to love the cold since we plan to move to a very cold region. *I like cold, I like cold, I like cold...I'm really trying.
ReplyDeleteWe love the colder temps and the snow but it could have waited till closer to Christmas and we would have been happier about it. Can you tell that's our mom talkin' and not us! Give us snow and cold any day of the week!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
I think my mom likes winter almost more than we do! We all really love the cold and hope for lots of snow.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, we LOVE Winter! The colder and snowier, the better! Our mom is not quite as into it as we are. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteCammie!
I love colder temps and Dog Dad seems to like them too. Must be from growing up in Northern Ohio.
ReplyDeleteSherman
