Bark Ranger Duties and a Visit to the Dogtor.

Being an official Bark Ranger my job is just never done and yesterday I added yet another park to my list (This makes 9 now and they are all within a 15 minutes of my house!) Anyhoo  off we went to visit the Theodore Roosevelt Area of the Timucuan Preserve now called the  "Theodore Roosevelt Cowspotdog Area of the Timucuan Preserve." This actually connects to 2 of my other parks - The Timucuan Cowspotdog Park and The Spanish Cowspotdog Ponds Park. As you can see this preserve is a thick forest with lots of palm  trees, ferns and Spanish moss. As usual we were the only ones there and had lots of fun checking out the new smells and leaving lots of pee mail (well at least I did - we all know about Psycho Dweeb who won't pee anywhere but in his own back yard!

Now Mom is asking for lots of good vibes for ME because today I am at the vets having two back teeth removed. Mom always worries like crazy when I have to spend the day at the vets and even Dad cut his trip to Miami short so he can be there to drop me off and also be there to pick me later tonight. Mom is also a little worried because my pre-surgery blood test showed my liver and thyroid functions are a little high. (They are at the very top on the normal level - so within range but worrying all the same. My Dogtor says he will talk with Mom some more when I go back for my checkup in a week.

  24. I am sure that all went well! Don't worry about the tests....when in doubt, always have them run them again (sometimes there are more thorough tests they can run just to be sure). We did that with Cody last fall. Cody tested high on something, then the vet did a more thorough (and more expensive test, yes), but all was fine. Paws crossed for you.

  26. You two are the cutest bark rangers I've ever seen! I don't know too much about your breed but high liver values are relatively common for aging Scottie dogs. Our Heather has had them for quite some time. We just keep a close eye on them at all times. Much love, The Scottie Mom.
