We have a beautiful tree in our front yard that is now covered in flowers and we are wondering if anyone knows what it is? Mom has nic named it the snowball tree and the flowers look like big old snowballs.
Howdy Mates. We are interested too because we have one in our yard. We call it the Snowball tree too!! Hope your mum is feeling a little better. Take care. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
It's a Crepe Myrtle. We have a pink one and a red one in our yard. Ours hasn't started to bloom yet but it's green at least so pretty soon. They look like bare sticks during the winter months.
Hari Om If the bark is smooth, light coloured and sort of silky (I can't see here), then I agree with first comment - crepe myrtle; though am used to seeing the purple and pink variations in and around Sydney I know that there are white varieties and that flower is pretty much it. Very lovely!!! hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Haha yes it's a crape myrtle! They are gorgeous and come in purple pink, and red too. I love ours (red) because they bloom late in the season, after most of the spring blooms are gone. They are everywhere in the South and now I'll bet you'll start seeing them all over the place :)
Wow, furiends that is so pretty! You have a lovely yard fur sure. I don't know what it is, but I think I'd like to leave pee mail there. Just sayin'. BOL Grr and Woof, Sarge, Police Commish
It is beautiful and it looks like a white crype myrtle tree. They do not get very tall and grow all over the south.
