Early Morning Bark Ranger Patrol

I told Mom we HAD to get up early and go and do some Bark Ranger Patrols which I sadly could not do last week because of my toofer problems. But they are all healed now and I have a job to do - so off we went. We arrived at 6.08 am and waited (and did quite a bit of sniffing) until 6.28 when the sun started to rise. As usual we had the beach all to ourselves and Mr Denny found some turtle tracks which he sniffed at sniffed at - most unusual for him as her rarely sniffs at anything. We loved watching the US Coast Guard ship cross the sunrise - they actually have one of their bases right here at Mayport. Bark Ranger duty done for today - MY beach is in perfect condition - I must say - MY park staff do an excellent job of keeping MY parks and beach ultra clean.

  12. What a great way to start the day! We live near the beach, but for some reason we have never walked down to watch the sunrise....hmmmm, maybe tomorrow we'll give it a try!

  14. I love your early morning pictures. If only Gail would take me to the beach to see the sunrise. Our beach in Aberdeen is east facing like yours, and less than two miles away. But Gail says it would mean getting there far too early at this time of year, and it's too cold in the winter and there's too much traffic.
Yes you are right, these are pathetic excuses.

  16. That's a gorgeous sunrise. Do you think there are turtle nests around? Our sun isn't getting up until after 7 a.m. these days....but it's got a shock coming because the Solstice will be here in a couple of days, and it'll have to get up earlier.

  19. We always liked the super early beach walks when we lived in Germany. There was no one around and we could just enjoy and do our thing.

  24. The last time we visited Florida, the beach has marked turtle nests with signs that said it was illegal to disturb them. From the pile of soft shells in one, the turtles had already hatched.

  25. I'm doing okay, Reilly and Denny. I was diagnosed with MMM but have not had any jaw pain at all and mom is hoping it stays that way. I'm a happy boy and I'm living my life to the fullest and that's the way I want it to stay. Thank you for asking about me. There is a posting further back with my diagnosis. You must have somehow missed it.

    Love ya lots♥
