Mom says her 'get up and go' has 'got up and gone' - she just hasn't been feeling her normal self this past week and spends a lot of time starring into space. I even had to remind her this morning that my one week of torturous enforced rest was over and it was time to go for a walk. We finally wore her down with our pathetic whimpers, leash nudging and big sad eyes routine and she agreed to take us to do our beach patrol. Now I must admit it was the most glorious day, bright and sunny, clear blue skies and only 55 degrees. Mom of coarse complained constantly about it being cold (what a wimp) - whereas we thought it was perfect for galloping all over of the place - ahhhhh it felt so good to have the sand between out toes again :)
Mom says she understands exactly how your momma feels.

Probably was good for your mom to get out there. Good job nudging her out to your beach.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your Mom is feeling better soon. I think the holidays wore us out too. I'm glad that you are out of forced rest. ♥
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to enjoy the day! And 55 sounds perfect to us too!

Maybe your mom was suffering from the After Snow Freak BLAHS... it is good that you got her UP and moving... that HELPS... Now if we could just get OUR mom off her Fat Butt...
ReplyDeleteDon't stare into space. You might see an alien or something if you stare at space too long.
ReplyDeleteWe say well done Mom for taking the boys to the beach, even when you weren't feeling quite up to scratch. Give yourself a pat on the back!
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!

Sometimes you've got to just MAKE those peeps move. It's good for them.

Your mom is such a trooper! We hope she feels more "with it" soon.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your week is up - but now maybe your mom needs one? We hope she's ok. Ours is still really sick with her cold/bug - and she never gets sick, so this is crazy!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Glad you got her out and about.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
The holidays can be so exhausting. We are having a hard time getting our Mom energized to get our blog going again. We bet she would love it if we could walk on the beach. Hope your Mom is feeling better tomorrow.

We hope your Mom feels better real soon. Our ghostwriter has been under the weather too. She hardly took any pictures of us outside in the snow!
ReplyDeleteThat normal self we understand, this holiday season has been the hardest we ever remember. Yep a nasty gremlin been hanging over our heads. We tried to keep busy to the point of just dropping over dead tired. Maybe the New Year will be brighter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend

At our house, we are the ones who lose the get up and go. Mom is always all "go". Hope your mom finds hers again soon.
ReplyDeleteHope your Mum and you are both feeling better. Now you can both enjoy your walks.
