Learning to share

Mom says I wasn't being a very gracious host yesterday because I was 'dogging' the vent. Mom showed Franklin that we have lots of vents to choose from and lots of cool tile floor but he wanted to stay close to me. He also wanted lots of fussing from MY dad and I wasn't to sure I liked that. I don't mind him having a quick pat but he jumped up on my dad's knee for a full on cuddle !!!!! I didn't mind at all when he had a cuddle with my mom - but having cuddles with MY dad - I am not to sure about that. Mom says that it is good for me to learn to share but isn't there some things that are just not meant to be shared - like dad's????? I shared my bones, my treats, my water dish, by yard, my mom, my toys - but my dogness - sharing my dad just didn't seem right. I wasn't mean or anything, I didn't growl or try to push Franklin away but I certainly let dad know I wasn't very happy with him - he's MY dad and he should only cuddle me.

  1. Awww Reilly, Franklin is just worried about his mom Bonnie, and so he needs a lot of extra special cuddling, and who to give him that better than your extra special Dad? Don't be jealous, Franklin is probably just really really scared because everything is different and he can't find his mom. You're being a really good boy for sharing all your stuffs. But Daddy still loves you best, don't worry. And your Mom loves you the very bestest of all too!

  4. Hang in there Reilly. We keep waiting for our mom to sprout another arm so she can pet all three of us at the same time.

    Lots of treats,

  9. Reilly, your right some things shouldn't be shared. Take for example fence patrol. I don't like other dogs interfering with fence patrol. You can eat my treats, drink my water, but don't mess with the fence.
