So what gives with the human obsession for clean things - especially in spring? There I was enjoying a nice cold morning outside of MY deck when the Mom started moving all the plants and patio furniture. I had to move FIVE different times and in the end she was disturbing me so much I gave a final huff and went inside!!!! She proceeded to spray the deck with water and scrub at it like crazy. It is bad enough we dogs have to suffer with the indignity of baths but now my deck does? What the dog! Yeah yeah - the Mom rattled on about needing to re-stain it so it would preserve it longer for ME but couldn't she pick a better time to do all this than MY "morning sitting out in the cold time?" What is wrong with painting it in the middle of night while I am sleeping indoors I ask? Humans really can be so inconsiderate sometimes!

Humans can be so selfish. I mean how are you supposed to get a kip with all the noise. We agree mum should do all that stuff a night. LOL! Have a marvelous Monday.

Our mom always cleans around us too, one time she was painting and the next thing i knew mags and i had a streak of pink paint on us!!

When your mom finishes your deck can you have her come here and do ours. see my Dad took his motorcycle apart and got oil on ours. My mom is still mad about it.:(

ReplyDeleteWe so understand. The Momster has been busy all day with the air conditioners being serviced, the new mulch getting spread, a broken shower door repair, a trip to the cable company for a new TV remote, and on and on. We are sure deck cleaning must be on the list soon too:)

Don't WE KNOW IT! You just lie down comfortably for a nap and in comes Vacula, or some other device. We've tried and tried to train HER but to no avail. Your mum's had all winter to stain that when you couldn't go out.

OMD!! You are SOOOOO right! This happened to me YESTERDAY! Oh man, I was so ticked! I wanted to play chase-me, and Ma was all cleaning all the leaves and dead stuffs out of the fountain area! BORING! What is with that. I protested by sittin' very purty, trying to make her feel guilty...didn't work BTW. Pfffft! to cleaning!
