If I don't look happy - it is because I am NOT ! Something awful, terrible and devastating (at least according to Mom) happened - after our Saturday & Sunday walks in the woods - Dad found a tick crawling up his arm after he gave the Dweeb a cuddle. It totally freaked out the Mom !!! She was all flustered and dad had to vacuum everywhere, then she checked us from head
to tail with a fine tooth comb - we got brushed and brushed and there wasn't a square inch of us she didn't look at and I mean she looked EVERYWHERE - please Mom - have you no shame! She was even more unhappy when she found a tick on ME - but the darn thing was dead already (thanks to our monthly flea and tick treatments) but did that matter - NOOOOOOO. She says NO MORE walkies in the woods - WHAT THE DOG!!!!! Is that fair I ask you?????
Oh no!! Good thing that blood sucker was already dead! I know it is completely unfair. Hopefully you can find some clearer areas to walk in.ReplyDelete
Oh no no no that IS NOT fair at all. Isn't that why we take the flea and tick meds? So we can enjoy life. Humans, they confuse me sometimes.ReplyDelete
OMD ticks. Nasty things. Oh dear we hope mum is not too freaked out now. Maybe you can find a pawsome tick free walking area? Have a marvelous tick free Monday.ReplyDelete
Best wishes Molly
Mom's not a big fan of the tick's either. However, Mom figures she has more to fear than we do as all the one's she's ever found on us die, not so the one's that get on her.ReplyDelete
That being said Mom totally lost it when Katy came to us with fleas. She made us go to the vet's kennel while she had the house exterminated. Dog jail for fleas??
Our mom worries about them too! During tick season we are limited to walks on the beach, instead of in the woods on our favorite trails. But at least we still get to go for walks...ReplyDelete
We miss the woods though!
Definitely NOT FAIR. Though I can understand her reasoning.ReplyDelete
Oh no that is so scary. Good she looked all over the placeReplyDelete
Benny & Lily
our dad is a human tick magnet when he goes into the woods to hunt mushrooms, mom makes him strip off on the back porch before he is allowed to enter our kingdumb!ReplyDelete
We don't blame your Mom! We are lucky we don't tend to get those down here, but we have had fleas and ticks after traveling!ReplyDelete
NO NO NO! That is totally unfair. You just need to have your tick treatments to protect you. You may have to run your mum and dad through a sheep dip, too.ReplyDelete
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Oh this is a bad time of year for ticks....yuk. I found one on myself the other day.ReplyDelete
Yuck I got one on me when I was pregnant right on my stomach and completely freaked out...luckily my doctor was raised on a farm and was able to assure me that we'd both be fine :) - that was my one and only tick experience and I would prefer not to repeat it either :)ReplyDelete
Ok, Ok, calm down Reilly, them things are bad. Dad says when he was small he had a doggie die from them.ReplyDelete
The Mad Scots
Oh dear, all that brushing wasn't much fun at all, but you know it is only because Mom loves you so much. You are thick furred like us so it isn't easy to find those evil ticks. Thank dogness for good flea and tick preventative.ReplyDelete
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Okays, tell your Moms to have a cocktail and take a breath.....ReplyDelete
Okay, now the flea and tick stuffs obviously is working, so I say let the dudes in the park!!
(did it work guys?)
Well, I tried. You gots to listen to your Moms.
Hopefully your mom will still take you out into the woods for a walk. After all you could pickup a tick anywhere. Even in your backyard. And if you're being protected anyways with flea and tick treatments, you should be fine.ReplyDelete
As long as you have your tick treatment I don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to go there... pft!ReplyDelete
Thank goodness you were wearing your tickguard, guys! Mom found a dead, flat tick on the floor in our house yesterday and she was not happy about that either.ReplyDelete
Love ya lots
Mitch and Molly
Ooooooo that does not sound good - ticks! I've never had one of them. It seems rough that you are banned from your nice walk though!ReplyDelete
