The Story of the Mysterious Shell Collector

Once upon a time .......on a beach not so far away a shell collector would wander leisurely along the tide line looking for shells. By the shell collectors side were two devilishly handsome doggies who everyone ALWAYS stopped and admired. Every day they would walk along and if King Neptune was feeling generous he would throw some shells up on the beach for the shell collector to find. The shell collector would then take the shells home - they were washed and scrubbed and made as clean as possible and then in the evening the shell collector would sit in a rocking chair with the two devilishly handsome doggies close by and begin to make magic on the shells. With a special pen in the shell collectors hand - intricate patterns would appear on the shells and something most people would step on or ignore suddenly became a thing of beauty. When the shell collector had finished the shells they were given a coat of varnish to make them all shiny and inside of the shell a little message would be written "A gift from the sea - becomes a gift for you".  Then each morning as the shell collector and those two devilishly handsome doggies made their way down the beach - a little painted shell would be left on each of the boardwalks railings as a surprise for someone. No-one ever saw the shell collector or the two devilishly handsome doggies do this and they were happy with this. See - the shell collector and the devilishly handsome dogs knew that the people who used this beach were all military families and the shell collector just wanted to let them know someone was thinking about them. Of coarse we have NO idea who the mysterious shell collector is or those two devilishly handsome dogs - but we do know we have seen many people smiling when they find those shells :)
